Pastors & Staff

jamie sisson

lead Pastor

JAMIE SISSON came on staff on September 1, 2005. Jamie is a native of Gallipolis, Ohio and a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a B.A. in English. He also earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Marshal University and Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Jamie has a great sense of humor, sings, and plays bass guitar with our praise band. He is a gifted teacher and leader. Jamie is a fan of all things superhero, especially Superman, and is an avid reader. He also enjoys listening to pretty much any type of music, playing with his kids.
Though he felt called into the ministry at the age of 20, Jamie spent seven years in public high schools in Ohio and North Carolina where he taught English and Theatre. In that time God further defined His call on Jamie’s life through various experiences working in local churches. In fact, he began his service here at Fellowship of Faith as a volunteer intern before being hired to lead our Student Ministry programs. In 2010, Jamie became Organizational Pastor leading our administrative & finance ministries. Since he took the position of lead pastor at the end of 2013, Jamie has worked hard to lead FOF in a direction that truly illustrates the mission of “transforming lives by serving Jesus Christ. He has overseen restructuring of ministries and leadership to better equip the people of Fellowship of Faith to follow Jesus and to take his Good News into every aspect of their lives. Jamie is excited to lead FOF through those changes and to guide the community into a future of knowing Christ, building up each other, and serving the local and global communities.
Jamie’s wife, Amy, has an M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University and works as a licensed counselor with Wing Haven in Vinton. The Sissons live in Gallipolis with their daughter, Brett, and two sons James and Luke. You will see Brett and James serving in the worship band and in the sound booth on various Sundays. If you spend enough time here, you will be hugged by Luke.

Stephen plays a little of every instrument, including guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, piano, drums and a little trumpet when he’s feeling jazzy. He writes and arranges on a daily basis, and is excited to be in a place where he can sing Queen, REO Speedwagon, Monty Python and Jackson Browne alongside Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Steve Fee, Third Day and Matt Redman.

vision team

Our VISION TEAM functions to insure that the ministries of the church align with our vision of “transforming lives by serving Jesus Christ.” The members work in conjunction with the pastors and other leaders to provide spiritual and financial support for gathering, service, and outreach activities. The team is nominated by members and is approved yearly with the yearly budget. Vision Team members serve three-year terms. The team meets monthly to discuss policies and other needs. Additionally, two auxiliary members attend all meetings with the understanding that they may act in full capacity should members be absent. They are also slated to come on as full members when senior members exit the team. This assures that new members are already aware of the projects overseen by the team.
