When Christ-followers are intimately connected to God and have developed community together, God’s love leads them to seek ways to impact the world around them. At Fellowship of Faith, we do that by serving our community locally and by working with global partners to meet needs of those they serve. Our purpose in this is to fulfill our mission of seeing lives transformed by power of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We seek to be agents of restoration in our local community by partnering with organizations within our county to help fulfill needs our citizens. We work through short-term projects during the holidays and have committed to long-term support of some local groups.
FOF Service Days allow the members and attenders of FOF to get together to serve the community together. On some of those days, we cancel the regular Sunday gathering and use our normal worship time to work together in Rio Grande. We use these opportunities to demonstrate our love and to collaborate with others who also seek to serve people in our area.
Serenity House is the only local women’s shelter that helps women and children transition from dangerous situations into safe, stable lifestyles. We have committed to working with Serenity House by providing regular funds from our budget and by looking for opportunities to serve the house and the residents.

Shawn & Bethany Waugh are missionaries to Papua New Guinea and have served there for the past four years with their three children: Abigail, James, & Josiah. Shawn leads the Bible college and works to develop native pastors to minister to the needs of the people, while Bethany works to develop relationships with local residents, homeschools the kids, and works with the finances of the PNG mission field. Shawn is a local boy, and Bethany is a second-generation missionary. We are so happy to be able to support them.
Pastor Owen Watson is a Jamaican pastor with whom we have developed a relationship through our friends at Elizabeth Chapel church. He has ministered there for over thirty years and currently oversees multiple congregations and a counseling center. Over the past few years, we have been amazed and challenged by Pastor Owen’s faithfulness to God’s work in Jamaica in the face of poverty and violence. We are excited to partner with Pastor Owen through financial support but also hope to take a work team to minister with him in the next few years.
Joey and Missy Myatt are missionaries with Youth With A Mission. They and their children (Alissa, Tristan, & Cierra) currently work with YWAM in Pennsylvania but work on various global mission trips. In June of 2018 the Myatts will move to Tirgu Mures in Romania to work with the YWAM base there. Joe will transition to director of the base and work with the current director, Florine Mereu, to revitalize the ministry there. They are a gifted young family with a major heart for spreading the message of Jesus Christ in a country that desperately needs the hope of God.
Viktor and Kristen Rózsa serve with World Gospel Missions in Hungary with their three daughters (Gabi, Emily, Lil). Their goal is to “reach Hungary with the love of Christ.” They do this in a variety of ways and are in the process of developing an even larger vision for ministry in other areas of Europe. We are happy to support this committed, vibrant family.
Joey Weykamp is another CRU member, but he works with the organization in Slovenia. His goal is to reach high school and college students with the message of Christ with the purpose of developing Christian leaders in that country.
